Dr. Allison Leigh, associate professor of Art History, had an article on Russia’s recent invasion of Ukraine published in Nineteenth-Century Art Worldwide, a scholarly, refereed, open-access journal devoted to the study of nineteenth-century art and visual culture across the globe. The article, entitled “Farewell to Russian Art: On Resistance, Complicity, and Decolonization in a Time of War,” explores the ethical dilemmas facing art historians who study Russian art and culture.

In October, she also produced her 20^th episode for the New Books Network podcast when she interviewed the art historian Leslie Geddes about her new book on Leonardo da Vinci, titled Watermarks: Leonardo Da Vinci and the Mastery of Nature (Princeton University Press, 2020).
