Painting
The Painting concentration explores the medium of painting in its many multi-facetted possibilities as a contemporary form of expression. Instruction, practice, and awareness of historical and contemporary approaches are taught to enable students to forge their own personal skill sets from traditional and critical practices in the expanded field of painting. At the core of the Painting concentration is continuous studio activity. Critical thinking and discourse are central to enable the student to use painting as a form of engagement with their world and nurture their personal vision.
