Visiting Assistant Professor in Sculpture Anne Bujold serves on the Governance Committee and is a founding member of The Society of Inclusive Blacksmiths. Formed in 2018, SIB works to provide resources and opportunities for people from historically underrepresented communities. Bujold developed the Mentorship Program, which to date has matched over 80 mentor-mentee partnerships. This program, which is a 3-month, bi-annual opportunity, matches participants around areas of interest or identity. Covid inspired this program to be held remotely, which has inadvertently fostered a network of mutual support outside the constraints of geography. Learn more in American Craft magazine.
