About the exhibition: The exhibition gives the public a view of notable work done by visual arts students and allows all visual arts students, regardless of where they are in the program, an opportunity for their creative efforts to be recognized. It features original work in a variety of media. Usually, this exhibition is presented in our Fletcher Hall Gallery. For the safety of students, faculty, and the public, we have moved the exhibition into an online format.
About the Panel: This year, in collaboration with the Acadiana Center of the Arts and AOC community Media, we are proud to present the Juror and Artist Panel discussion THE HUSTLE: Life as a Working Artist, in which awards will be announced to the public. Awards chosen by the juror include Best of Show, Second Place, and Third Place. Three Honorable Mentions were selected by our guest panel participants. Panelists will discuss their paths as working artists, including memorable choices, what success looks like, observations on the art world and more.
