Artist Workshop and Lecture
Tue, 09/24/2019 - 5:57pmThe Department of Visual Arts welcomes animator Amy Lockhart. Amy Lockhart is a filmmaker, animator and artist. Her animations have screened at festivals nationally and internationally, including the Ann Arbor Film Festival and International Animation Festival in Hiroshima, Japan. Lockhart has received fellowship at the National Film Board of Canada and support from the Canada Council for the Arts. She has completed residencies at Calgary’s Quickdraw Animation Society, Struts Gallery, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and The California Institute of the Arts. Drawn & Quarterly published Dirty Dishes, a book of her paintings, sculptures and drawings in 2009. Her work was recently included in Afterimage at DePaul University Art Gallery and Not Bad For London at Michael Gibson Gallery.
