“Do U Want It?” Papa Grows Funk Documentary Southern Screen Official Selection

Come see the results of 2 1/2 years of intense labor by TancoToons artists and animators on our first feature length (documentary) feature "Do U Want It?" It will screen at the Southern Screen Festival at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Downtown Lafayette.

"Do U Want It?" is an exploration of the musical culture of New Orleans, chronicling the rise of the beloved New Orleans' band Papa Grows Funk.

TancoToons is a local media arts group made up of current and former UL Lafayette students, founded by UL Adjunct Instructor James Tancill and his
wife Jo Ellen Breakfield Tancill in 2009. They sponsor paid and unpaid
internships to help students and professionals hone their craft, and reach a
wider audience.

This is TancoToon's second appearance at the New Orleans Film Festival; the
first being the award winning "St. James Infirmary - King Britt Remix".

"Do U Want It?" took 2 1/2 years to complete, with hard work and perseverance from the following individuals:
