Concentrations, traditional to digital

The Department of Visual Arts offers concentrations leading to the professional Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Traditional areas of studies include ceramics, metalwork and jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, as well as art education, computer art and animation, graphic design, and media arts. The Department prepares students for careers as practicing professional artists, designers, educators, and community leaders. Students’ educational experience is enhanced by rotating exhibitions and functions at the University Art Museum and the Dean's Gallery. In addition, the Department sponsors nationally recognized visiting artists, lectures, and workshops in which students participate.
